JUJUTSU KAISEN’S GROWING POPULARITY AND IT’S FUTURE
Several memorable anime made their debut last year. While most of them were just as good as they were advertised but a few surpassed all expectations. Shows like Re: Zero to WEBTOON’S Tower of God adaptation were well received by the anime fandom. However, no series garnered as much buzz as Jujutsu Kaisen. The supernatural horror series became the most popular anime in 2020 surpassing some major titles. Although Jujutsu Kaisen’s success was anticipated by many no one could have predicted that it will surpass so many great shows. According to Crunchyroll, Jujutsu Kaisen was the most popular anime in 71 countries and territories. Even Boruto and My Hero Academia combined did not become anywhere near Jujutsu Kaisen’s popularity. While the former was famous in 32 countries the latter was a fan favorite in 23 countries.
